My guess is she's not actually plain - she probably has some kind of features or overall impact that is very striking, but you don't see.

Op here. She's NOT flirtatious at all. Most of the men she meets online. Men do constantly try to approach her or stare at her but she doesn't really notice it. She ignores most of the men because she's shy.

Not really. There is a difference between a flirt who laughs a little too loudly, touches a lot and a shy personality who quietly conveys her interest in a way that flatters the admirer. Sure, both will get you dates, but I think of "flirtatious" as more boisterous than coy. And most men see coy behavior as a bit more of a challenge and want to pursue her more than the girl who is known as a flirt.

I think most men prefer the “plain”, girl-next-door look rather than being overtly hot. More approachable, more likely to say yes, not crazy or high maintenance, etc. Looking young also probably helps, since women in their early 20s are less likely to be married/attached and more likely to be naive enough to say yes (vs an older women who takes a lot less crap from men).

Do you look like you are high maintenance? Or do you wear a lot of makeup and are always "done"? Do you talk about yourself a lot? Perhaps your friend is just more relaxed and men find that ease, an attractive quality.

For me, if she's fit, pretty without makeup, and smiles a lot she's going to get my attention. I don't care how much she makes it how flashy she dresses.

Stop being a hater. She attracts men because she's sweet and approachable and cute. Work on yourself and lose the jealously - it's not a good look.

I am a high-earning, attractive, fit woman in my late 20s. My friend is in her mid 20s but could pass for early 20s. She's a nanny and she's attractive in a plain way and also very fit/ petite. She has NO trouble getting dates. I don't understand it. She's plain looking. She doesn't wear makeup most days. Her job pays around 20-30k per year. I think it may be her personality. She's shy, sweet but very funny once you get to know her. I catch men checking her out constantly. She doesn't dress flashy. Her last boyfriend looked like an European model. He was beautiful and they were together for a 5 years! She has always been able to attract men I find attractive.
