Subject: How reasonable a request is it to expect your husband to make a good salary?
I’m 28. I make 60k as a BSW with 4 yrs social work experience. There’s no way I could ever make 150k in my mid 30’s unless I changed careers entirely.
I think how someone manages their money is important. In some parts of the county, you can be a SAHM if your spouse makes 100k or so.

I mean, go find what you want then. All of your "shoulds" aren't necessary and I've found people only start getting agitated throwing out what "should" be when they can't get their demands met. If you are what a guy like that wants, you should be good. If you aren't cute/fit/fun/nice enough then it looks like you've got some work to do.

And what is the median income in the various jurisdictions in this region? You may be excluding 80 or 90% of men based solely on income, and God knows what percentage of just the white collar crowd. What’s your plan?

A man 30 years old and above should make at least 120k. In this city that’s the bare minimum. By mid 30s he should make at least 150k
