What are you talking about? I do not even know what a booster club is as I was educated at Oxford and I am from Europe.

The colleges forum is occasionally really informative and helpful, but when there are small minded poaters who are bitter about something, for instance, whoever started “why is everyone from Harvard arrogant” or whatever, it puts the bitterness front and center instead of just being an annoying poster who pops up on an otherwise decent thread. I am now done trying to clarify my objections. Have a serene holiday everyone.

Pro tip:
Don’t click on threads with snarky titles. Let the snark run its course away from other discussions.

Agree. The why are Harvard people arrogant thread is pretty pointless, but who cares? If you don't want to engage in the silliness, don't read it. If people want to have a stupid pissing match, let them.

Op - are your feelings hurt? Please keep in mind that others might not have the same emotional response to those threads.

I agree.

Please don't lock or get rid of it just because OP finds the title snarky.

Look at the date of the original OP. Nothing is getting deleted or locked. And the charge is not snark - its that its predisposed towards nastiness, which it is.

Sure, understood and thank you.

(I think my point in sending you just the titles of those threads, was to show that the OP's intentions are pre-disposed to encourage discussions which are negative / combative / seeking slanderous statements, etc)

Hello Jeff

Some of us have mentioned before that there are some mean spirited posters in the colleges and university threads who contribute nothing in an otherwise fairly quiet and helpful forum (fora?).

And you have been great about cleaning up specific threads there when this happens.

I just want to point out to you three titles of the top threads there today,

Why are Harvard people so arrogant?
Worst College Advice you have heard, that you know is untrue
Notable Humble brags about college that make you roll your eyes

Is there anything you can do about this?
