Bethesda won't be far at all. If you want something closer in, look at Wootton or Quince Orchard HS in North Potomac. Also Darnestown area has some big homes that feed into Northwest HS which is,also a good school but doesn't have the same "brand" as the others I have mentioned.

Because kids who tested into a test-in magnet, by definition, have high test scores. Not because the teaching or curriculum is any better than anywhere else.

Funny — Says $3 million home but it sounds like a $650,000 question

Bethesda and Potomac commute is against traffic. A quick commute.

Consider moving into the Wootton school pyramid. Mostly Rockville and north Potomac homes. Some of the best schools.

just put it into google maps and says around 40 minutes. So yeah, too far if you are mainly moving to reduce your commute times. Isn't clarksburg near germantown? There are a lot of new homes going up there.

Going from Bethesda to Germantown will be against the flow of traffic. Shouldn’t take more than 30min, if that.

I don’t understand. Do you want to live in Bethesda or McLean? The best public school in Germantown is northwest hs, I think.

Just a heads up, there isn't a single home for sale in germantown even near 3 mill... says something about the area.

Will be moving from McLean due to rough commute to work each day. I would prefer to live in Bethesda if we end up moving to Maryland but I heard that is still pretty far from Germantown. Is that true? We will be looking for homes around $3 mill. What are the good schools in the area near Germantown? Have a 3rd grader and 6th grader, so we will need an elementary school, middle school, and high school though we may look at private high schools when the time comes. Thoughts?
