I would not tell you to relax. I have BTDT x2, and I remember how stressful it is. And I disagree with people who say it is inconsequential. Depending on your kid and your school, AAP vs Ge placement can matter a whole lot.

I will tell you that AAP admissions not a one time thing on the AAP track. And you have to find a way to deal with the stress or you will make yourself, and your kid, crazy. Math placement is a thing. IIAT results and 7th grade Algebra I is a thing. TJ admissions is a thing. College admissions are a thing. And between them, most extracurriculars have high stakes competitions involved that are things. If you have more than one kid, there is ALWAYS an important decision you are waiting on.

Take it from the parent with one kid in TJ starting college applications and one in MS, waiting to hear from TJ this week. You can let this consume the rest of your kids childhoods. Or you can find a way to put it in the background while you wait.

Sure, I know it's insufferable, that's why I only post it here, on the AAP forum. The forum for gifted kids.

When social studies is only taught one week out of four, it's just not enough to keep my kid engaged. It's supposed to be taught two weeks out of four, as is science, but they're often missed for one reason or another.
