That is true. OP made a mistake in going so public. We know she is proud, but she should have just shared the news with grandma and other family

It's not a complaint but rather a brag.

Why has the school been communicating with you instead of with your DD? Is this the norm nowadays even for colleges?

My kid had an acceptance to TJ post to the online portal a couple years ago. Then they pulled it down a few hours later, and the admissions office withdrew the acceptance. Two days later, officially accepted (again ??). Apparently his notification was accidentally visible for a while while it was being loaded into the system.

It is really awful to wait for these acceptances, and have them pulled away, even if you ultimately get the acceptance back.

That seems to happen every year…there was one year when some school sent out a bunch of acceptances that turned out to be rejections and they had to break the news to those poor kids

Congrats…Vassar is a great school. I heard the MIT admissions yesterday were a bloodbath, and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the IVY schools and the kids who applied

and that the FA award was sent to her. Which it wasn't. Fast forward, the Dean of Admissions called me 10 minutes ago to say "congrats, she made it in, it was a mistake to send the email but she will get the official notification on the 27th, etc..
