Parents and students have been talking to me like I personally demanded that this happen. I've told all of them to do whatever works for them. I didn't make any plans, so I'll be there. My principal asked anyone who had plans to just put it in Oracle as soon as possible, so that they can secure subs. I could be in the minority, but I was running on fumes. I was planning to take a mental health day next week anyway. Those two snow days were just enough to recharge my batteries. We still get a five day weekend, so I'm not complaining.

Good attitude! For a number of reasons, I don’t make spring break plans with my kids anyway, so they will be there. But I can understand that some families and teachers made plans. I say go and don’t forfeit any deposits.

The older students will probably be in some kind of supervised study hall. Younger students will be doubled up in classes most likely, where one teacher has half of her class and half of her teammates class (because not all kids will be coming and not all teachers will be there). I expect there will be longer recesses as well as a lot of free reading and computer time. It actually might be a fun few days for the little kids.

50 of 110 teachers at my child's high school will not be there on Wednesday - Friday so most of them will be in the auditorium doing busy work that will not be graded. We already made plans so she is not going on those days and apparently they've been talking about making those days excused for people who will miss school.

Just a reminder that we have used 4 inclement weather days in the county this year.

The makeup days are/were (as announced in the calendar at the start of the year)

1) June 14th was added to the end of the year
2) June 15th was added to the end of the year
3) Feb 9th was a teacher workday and was instead a school day
4) the Friday of Spring break will be added (school just announced) April 6

If we have any more inclement weather days, the calendar says that the next day to be added back will be Thursday April 5th.
