No. The Cotswolds are like an 8 hour drive from London, about as long on the train and there are far more places to visit which don't require that time commitment with travel.
Rye in Kent - on the coast, where they filmed French Lieutenant's Woman. Beautiful.
Windsor - to the West but only by about 45 mins train ride. You can visit and walk the grounds of the castle
Or you can go to Hamburg which isn't far from Berlin and is a beautiful city with a lake in the middle of it.
