If you are in Sales or Wealth Management, I would stay away. I would think it would be impossible to find clients willing to do business in this area with such a reputation.

I know someone in sales at Wells. This is not only a reputation problem, but he’s losing customers because of the asset cap. They don’t believe he can make loans, do over services.

I used to have an account with Wells Fargo Advantage Funds or something along that line. More for simplicity sake than anything else I closed it and moved all of the money over to Fidelity.

I used to bank with them but Ally is now my primary bank because the interest rates are better. I may keep a small amount with WF just in case I need to withdraw cash.

We have a primary checking account with Wells Fargo; they have been OK, but I am ready to get out and am shopping for other banks. They did try to fleece my elderly parents with hardcore sales techniques, so while I have not had a problem I am still not happy with them.

Good for you and I’m sure you’re sincere. However, the more pertinent question is would you invest with them.
In my opinion, no, they have too many issues that seem to screw the investor to line the pockets of WF.

Hmm, they bought out my mortgage as soon as I closed on my house and I’ve not had any problems with them other than they raised my payment to have too much of a escrow cushion. But I suppose that’s a matter of opinion.

I can't believe anyone banks with them anymore. Or BofA.

After dealing with them through a first mortgage and a refi a few years later, we took our business local.

They are shysty as hell.

I think I have to refinance my home to get rid of them. My loan was sold to them. They make me transfer money from checking to savings to avoid a monthly fee. So I move the $75 back and forth every month. I also go 3 settlement checks involving WF. They stole ca $4000, I got back ca $400.
I made the exact same payment on my mortgage in January and February. They divided it up differently. They put $1 to interest. I don't even have that option when paying. I have an option of extra towards equity or escrow.
Several messages, letters and phone calls later, the rep told me how I'm not listening. Asked them to explain how the exact same payment was divided up differently. She is moving the dollar to equity and will call me back. Pain. I should refinance.

Every single account/ HELOC/ interaction with them has been screwed up. Every single one, including my mother's estate account (I was executor) that they say never existed, even though I consequently provided checks and debit card for said account and I opened the account IN THAT BRANCH.
I am refinancing with a different bank and I am never dealing with them again.

Crooks. I had to deal with them while settling an estate 8 years ago. One of 6 financial institutions I has to deal with, and by far the worst.

I recently retired and now spend winters in SW Florida.
Wells Fargo has a very large presence in this area, much bigger than where I came from in NY.
No way would I or will I deal with them.
I’m surprised they still have customers at all.
My advice would be to look elsewhere for employment.

Considering a sales position at Wells Fargo but seems like company name would be a real obstacle if in sales. Would you still do business with them despite all the recent issues?
