No, because it would not include potential future parents who are evaluating the school. Stop trying to shush this up.

To call the concern unfounded, however, is intellectually dishonest, and so is the terse first PP.

I have no comments on how the administration is handling this.

Should one read between the lines here and assume the administration is not handling this well? In light of recent events and the looming lottery deadline, it makes sense that folks want to know the deal. Everything is not a personal attack on the school. I see Lee parents are still way too sensitive.

Sorry if my non-comment made you think I was holding back. I'm not. I don't know what we can reasonably expect of a school administration in a situation like that.

Still matters how they handled it.

There is no associated MPD report on the 5-D listserv (I just checked because I'm a close-by neighbor), so I'm assuming this was a nothingburger.

PP here (13:47 and 15:48). No, there is a huge difference to whether a gun was found or possibly sighted. I'll stand by my assertion that the OP is either ill-informed or trying to start a kerfuffle. I'll also give you that "unfounded" is a bit of a snow job, and an unnecessary one, IMO.

So what did the WLA leadership do?

People have a right to know if they are evaluating the school. If the administration handled it well, why not share that?

Also, I live very close by and that is enough of a reason.

well, unverified. But agree with PPs that you have a bad source. Or perhaps you have a good source and know the truth but you are trying to stir up shit? Glad Lee parents aren't falling for it.

this was for the OP not the quoted poster

Has anyone heard of an incident at Lee last Friday? I heard a gun was found on school grounds. True? How is the administration handling this?
