Can you elaborate? What was wrong with what the ped told you?
Also, I realize it's just a blip of punctuation, but I keep reading the subject as "Weight Loss Experience" as though it's some sort of crappy Off-Off Broadway show.

12-yo DS would like to change his diet to lose some weight (currently overweight/obese), and I think it's time to find outside help as we've been unsuccessful trying ourselves. Would like to hear experiences on how this works on general and what to expect. Also would like recommendations - we're in NoVa bit DC is fine too.
Just want to emphasize that he brought it up himself the other day, even though we've been trying to help him manage his weight gain for the last couple of years he's never interested and resisting. I want him to be successful but also don't want him to be miserable (i.e. being hungry all the time).
