I haven't been able to afford tickets for years. I used to go a lot in the '90s. Any world music artist or baroque opera would appeal to me.

If I could afford to go this year, about the only thing I see that looks interesting is one in August with Femi Kuti and another artist doing an interpretation of a Talking Heads album. That sounds really good.

Loge seats area usually only $5 more than lawn. We buy those with intent to stay on the lawn, but if the weather isn't cooperative, we know we have cover for a relatively low cost of insurance.

I agree. My work has box seats so I get a free box seat performance about once a year and those shows are the worst. Just really boring and not worth the ticket price. Goo Goo dolls was great though!

So weird, I have no issues with traffic. I park in the lot across the way, as close as possible to the exit (i.e., as far as possible from the tunnel). We usually aim to be there when the gates open and picnic on the lawn. It a few extra feet to walk, but I have never spent more than 5-10 minutes getting out and I go to WT a LOT. I usually turn left to go up to Rt. 7 rather than right to go to the Toll Rd.

I think people that park either on the hill or close to the tunnel to shorten their walk are the ones that complain about the traffic getting out.

Oh thank you for mentioning the schedule is out. My 11 yo daughter has been dying to go to a music concert, but think Taylor Swift in a really big arena. Seeing Charlie Puth on the schedule, it may be a good first-concert experience for her. I have no desire to see him, but I guess I can stand it for an evening!

With the right artist and a decent seat, it's the best concert-going experience around.

Favorite shows have included Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy, Yo Yo Ma, and the NSO. But yes, it's crazy pricey. I used to do the lawn but got rained on and/or sat next to talkers too many times.

I wish they'd release the full schedule for everyone, not just members, earlier in the season. At this moment, I don't see anything I'm willing to pay pavilion prices for.

As for the parking, I get there crazy early and leave after the majority of the crowd is gone. It's inconvenient, but dealing with that traffic totally kills all the joy of the show itself.

And parking can be horrible. We met friends there for Wait Wait last year and they ended up having to park on the road and walk a mile.

If you are able to purchase the tickets at their box office, there is no convenience fee.

But i do agree their prices have gone up too much in the past couple years.

its a fun venue, just looked at the schedule and the only thing I'd see this would be the Jaws with the national orchestra and maybe Alan jackson...

Huge improvement in lineup over last year. Purchased 9 shows and heard they're announcing 30 more in March. Avett Brothers sold out which is pretty cool. Love that Beethoven's 9th Choral Symphony also on the lineup. Any other shows of interest to you?
