What od s your dad say he might like? My father in law just died after a 10!year battle with Parkinsons. Your dad has a really tough road ahead of him. Maybe let him decide since it could be the last trip he is able to go on. Parkinsons only gets worse.

My dad has Parkinson’s. Cruise and Disney are the absolute best options. Both extremely accessible and accommodating.

If Yellowstone was your original plan, why not look into some dude ranches out west that have good accommodations for people with handicaps? I just did a google search and there were a bunch of hits - for example, this one:

You could probably even find something where day trips to Yellowstone are a possibility. A lot of the park - including much of the wildlife and tons of thermal features - can be viewed from the road or handicapped accessible walkways. If it's a bucket list item, I think you could still plan an enjoyable trip around it.

They aren't my cup of tea, but a cruise might be an option.

Would everyone enjoy a place like Disney? It might be hot, but the parks all seem super accessible with a lot to see in one general location. Might be too hot in summer?

I think many places are wheelchair friendly - maybe not some cities with steps up/down from subways/metro, but even then you could probably work around it.

Can you recommend places we can go this summer?

Can drive or fly. Parents live in ny. We live in dc.

My dad has mobility issues and we just ordered him a wheelchair. Dad is a big fall risk. Want to go somewhere we can wheel him around. I also have a toddler and 2 elementary kids too. We wanted to do Yellowstone but that is obviously out. I wish we just went last summer. I had a baby and was overwhelmed at the time. Now my dad’s condition has gotten worse.

We can fly or drive. My mom, brother and DH will also be coming so we will have 4 able adults to push dad and chase toddler around.
