I’ve seen this work really well and really poorly. A couple of folks have been married for decades. One guy I know met an Argentine and she moved here with him. After a 5 year relationship, they married. She got her permanent residency and 6 months later she was out the door.
It’ll be expensive, but only you know if it’s worth it.
Also, do you know Argentine women well? Native Argentines? They have a reputation for fiery, and delightful, personalities. It’s well deserved. Make sure you know the fiery as well as the delightful.

A lot of travel. Decide now which airline alliance and hotel chain you want to invest in. The teleconferencing relationship is not real, you need sustained periods of time in person to really get to know them.

Do you speak Spanish? Does she speak English? And I don’t mean basic skills but full fluency. I’ve spent significant time living in Argentina and have visited every country in Latin America through a combination of tourism and business travel. In no country did I get more male attention than Argentina. I also regularly had people ask me to write visa sponsorship letters for my country which is not the US.

Why is it that people always knee-jerk into visa plots?
As a foreigner on a non-immigrant visa, I take exception to that reaction. The world is not all hankering to live permanently in the USA, for goodness' sakes.

I'm single and met a somebody while traveling that I'm interested in. We hung out several nights and I'd like to continue to develop the relationship, but the distance (12hr flight) obviously makes this rather difficult. I'd like to hear from others that might have been in this situation and made it work. Any insight would be helpful.
