I actually think the kids might enjoy the change of pace to have an outside activity at a time of year when many things are inside. I am wondering about windy weather though. Could it be too windy to set up a bounce house? I'd double check with the rental company. They might not be able to set up.

We did an outdoor party in February. I told the parents to send warm clothes. We did the food inside, but the kids were outside for much of the rest of the party. They had a great time and weren't at all bothered by the cold.

I agree.

Depends on if you expect parents to hang outside too. If I were bouncing, I'd feel warmer. If I were standing around, not so much.

Try living in Minnesota for a while and then ask that question. You get used to seeing people outside in summer clothing while there is still snow on the ground.

Then you are fine. Do you have space inside and other activities? DD is 7 and had a couple friends over this weekend. They were bored 30 min into a movie and started running around. Older DS and his friends would tear up my house if we tried an indoor party but my kids are both high energy. Maybe have nerf guns inside or something as a back up plan as well?

Just be clear in the invitation if the bulk of activity will be outside. Recommend layers since bouncing makes you warm.

7 year old boys would have fun in 10 degree weather so 50 is no big deal for them as long as the parents have access to the indoors.

Just alert your quests to dress for the weather.

+1. Fine for going out in the bouncy house but not pleasant for a full outdoor party.

Wondering if we should get a bounce house and other inflatables for the backyard for a mid-March bday. The cold weather/rain plan would be to watch a movie instead. The cake and some activities would be inside but would 50 degrees be too cold for some outdoor activities? These are 7 year old boys.
