Yep.

And being short also means getting to eat much fewer calories. Like 1200 a day for me.

Thanks for confirming! I, too, have a sloppy 10 I'm working on. I've cut out sweets and I don't eat after dinner. Down 3lbs in 2.5 weeks.

Count your calories for a few weeks to see what you are really, actually eating. It might be more than you think.

Look at your portion sizes - are they unreasonable?

Are there any places you could cut easily? Alcohol? Sweets? Random salty snacks at 3:00 in the afternoon?

Tighten up those things and add in daily or near-daily exercise and report back. I lost a pound a week after grad school - had gained 20 lbs, lost 20 lbs in 20 weeks.
