My ex-husband is one of my best friends. He lives in another state, but we text every day. It never occurs to my husband to be suspicious. When he comes in to visit, he stays at our house. When we visit there, he and I go on long motorcycle rides. My husband doesn't think anything about this, either. He's busy driving around looking for places to buy. If I had wanted my ex, I wouldn't have walked out in the first place.

What is there to be suspicious of? She's obviously trying to avoid having an awkward run-in with you, who seems high strung.

Sounds like you should talk to your husband about it. Assuming she actually does have something to drop off, I would choose to do it when just the ex is there vs. when he and his wife are there if both were convenient. Just less awkward.

It's fine. It's a good thing that they can have a few moments as a family. She's probably avoiding seeing you to make it less awkward for you--it's a courtesy, actually.
