No you don’t. I just write a check to the troop for the amount I would have purchased. That way they get the entire amount.

This is a good idea. I always have boxes left over that I end up taking to my office. I can skip that step and just give money. Aren't they required to sell a. Certain number of boxes?

Google images tells me that there was a box not too long ago that sold 7 ounces. This year it's 6 1/2 ounces. Next year they might as well just straight up asked for five dollars for one cookie.

I just bought several boxes of Girl Scout cookies and when I opened one I noticed how far spaced out the cookies were! There are only five per row for a total of 20 cookies but this year if the cookies are really skinny! I'm sure they've been charging the same amount of money for less product for many years but this year was so glaring. On the bright side, I'm eating less calories so last time on the treadmill .
