How do you all handle the ‘coach’ screaming in a microphone for an hour? That alone keeps me away..

Check out Dedicated Strength DC. They’re in the Shaw area. Definitely helped improve my back pain, much stronger, and I’ve lost inches!

Nice, OP! Keep it up. I’m one of the PPs with mad love for solidcore.

OP, if you're already doing HITT workouts 3x/week, the answer to weight loss is in your diet.

I think I tore a muscle in the back of my head doing solidcore. I do think it made me very strong but I ended up quitting because my gut suspicion that they weren't attending enough to people's form turned out to be true. Not sure how the hell I did that but it *really* hurt and knocked me out of exercise for a while.

How do you guys afford it though, any tips?

About every three months they have 10% off sales. I buy a 40 pack then, which works out to $26 a class. Pricey but worth it to me-plenty of yoga classes are that much and solidcore is much more effective for me.

I love solidcore and my body has gotten stronger. However, it is not a replacement for a great diet and cardio.

15:23 again: I also lost about 15-20 pounds since I started doing it (a little over a year ago), but that also coincided with weaning my third kid, so I don't attribute it all to solidcore. But it definitely didn't hurt!

I've been going for a little over a year, 2-3 times/week (mostly twice, with the occasional three or a double day thrown in there). I also run and swim. Solidcore has made my entire body much stronger--I feel it most in my core and obliques, but my hips and upper body, too. I have more definition in my arms and core, as well. Admittedly, I get pretty easily defined in my upper body, in part because I don't carry my weight there but also from being naturally more muscular than most women. I *love* solidcore so, so much. I also find that my attention span has improved and I'm just generally more efficient. It's also been amazing for my mental toughness--I ran a half marathon a few weeks ago for which I was completely undertrained, and managed to pull out a sub-2 hour time thanks to the grit solidcore has given me (and I heard some of the coaches in my head).

I will say that it's been worth it to keep pushing myself, whether it's adding or subtracting another spring (depending on the move), or weights, trying out my toes in the core moves, keeping hands up during lunges, etc. Watching myself continue to progress has been a great feeling. Not everyone does that, and it does make it harder, but also incredibly worthwhile.

It's kicked my lower back pain in the ass. Probably not what you were thinking of but if I don't go that pain creeps back and slays me.

It's also made my butt higher than it was.

It has made me much stronger. My core is stronger and my legs are stronger. My balance is also better. That said it does not make you thinner. If anything you can bulk up your legs and butt somewhat. Not in a bad way - it is great for toning and strength - but it is not a weight-loss mechanism. I know a lot of people that had that experience.

Oh and I do have more defined muscles in my upper abs but that could be from the other workouts I do as well. My C-section overhang is still there unfortunately.

I'm been going regularly for the past few weeks and am completely hooked.

I'd love to hear from folks how regular solidcore changed their bodies.

For me I'd really like to get more defined muscles in my arms and lose some of my belly. Is that possible with regular solidcore? I also do cardio/HIIT workouts 3-4X a week.
