2BR apt, 2 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1000 sq ft. Everyone is typically gone 8:30-4pm M-F. Gas and electric are always at least $200 combined- drives me nuts because it doesn't make sense to me. We don't pay for water (included in rent). Cable and internet is $145, which also drives me nuts. Total is ~$350/month.
We are in the midst of moving to a sfh that is over twice the size of our apartment. Prior owners sent me there average water, gas, and electric calculations and the three combined were less than our current in the apartment. I'm skeptical until I see it for myself though. New cable/internet/phone for that house is $110 so a reduction already for more.

So much this winter, for some reason.
$150ish each for electric and gas. (Normally this time of year it's just gas - I think something is going on in my HVAC system.) $70ish for water/sewer. $100+ for Directv. $100+ for Verizon phone/internet. (Another $100ish for AT&T cell service.) This is for 2 people in a 1,500 SF house. I'm starting to get crabby about it and need to figure out a way to bundle something.

We are spending about $850 per month for electric, gas, water/sewer bill, heat, and cable/internet. That's averaging out some bills like heat which we don't have every month. We are in an older 2k square foot house and I wonder if our bills are average or much higher than what others pay. Could you also list if you are in a house or a condo/apartment. I wonder how much cheaoer utilities are in an apartment, but we would need 3 bedrooms or more since we are used to so much space.
