My husband is constantly telling me about all the things I'm not doing that he sees other "happy" (he assumes) couples doing and asks why I can't be more like that. So, yes, he compares me to other wives, just not "secretly" ... to answer the OP. I don't compare him to anyone because I'm no longer interested in being married to him ... We've figured out what works for us. Due to business with our children, our jobs, various activities, church, gym, travel, etc. I have very little idea what goes on behind closed doors with other couples we know and am not particularly interested either.
