Once it's oxidized does that mean it's no longer effective? I have the Paula's Choice one that started out clear but is now orange.. it isn't making my skin orange (yet!) but is it still working?

I use The Ordinary Vitamin C (23%). The texture is a little gritty but it dissolves pretty quickly.

I thought maybe it was because my skin is so fair, but who knows. Yes I definitely had an orange tint to my skin in the mornings after using.

I've used a couple other serums in addition to DrunK Elephant but kept going back to S. CE Ferulic. It is pricey but you use so little per day - it really does last a long time. And no orange skin!

OP here. OK, glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm not fair skinned either -- more of a medium with yellow undertones. Were you applying it everyday?

OP here. Yeah the Skinceuticals one is ridiculously expensive. But people rave about it.

Sephora carries Ole Henrikson (spelling?) vitamin c boost. They have 2 diff sizes and sometimes a really small sample size which lasts me a really long time. I pair it with some of my Paula’s choice products but think it works well

What does Vitamin C do?

That's why I think it's weird that the DE starts out orange. Then you can't tell when it starts to oxidize. I use the Timeless C E Ferulic. It and the skinceuticals are a clear watery serum that will start to go orange eventually so you know. I keep mine in the fridge and it never turns orange before I use it up. My bathroom opens to the kitchen so this isn't inconvenient.

I switched from DE to Skinceuticals CE ferulic for this reason.

I have been faithfully using a Vitamin C serum every morning for about 2 months now. It really does seem to help my skin (for example, dark spots are fading). BUT, I swear my face is taking on a slight orange tinge. It is NOT sun -- I don't turn this color when I tan, and I am still wearing the same SPF 50 that I always have plus avoid the sun. FWIW, I am using the Drunk Elephant vit C serum, which is a light orange, but it seems to me that many if not all vit C serums are orangish in color too. Has this happened to anyone else??
