OP here - YES! I forgot about the veil! It was appalling enough that the ditzy bride loved that dress, but then all three of the women on the couch (Mom,MIL, etc.) ALSO loved it?!? Does no one have taste??

Some of that is because sample dresses are pretty small. Just because a woman doesn't fit them, doesn't mean that she won't fit the dress that's actually ordered for and altered to fit her.

I'm not a fan of strapless dresses, they aren't what I'd choose, but you do have to look at someone in a sample dress and imagine what she'd look like if the dress fit well, and for a woman who is well endowed up top, the fit of the top makes a huge difference.

Strapless dresses do not flatter large-busted women, period. Those consultants should know better.

Yes! Even when the women have good enough bodies, there is not getting past how trashy the sheer bodice makes everyone look. It makes me think of a bustier one might wear UNDER a wedding dress.

I wore a Pnina dress in 2006 before the show started. Kleinfeld was still in Brooklyn. I remember trying so many dresses and nothing looking quite right. My salesperson (Audrey, I recall) brought out a Pnina dress- all satin with rouching and a corset back and it was just perfect. Still, I had to have it modified from the original design- I had these crazy flowers removed. Her stuff has gotten pretty outfeafeous but I’ve also seen her dress some very religious brides and she does such elegant work. It was thrilling for me to be able to support an Israeli designer.

Agree, they look like the wedding dresses you would expect women who were too trashy to get cast on Jersey Shore to wear.

Did you see last season where the woman wore a "dress" that had booty shorts underneath? They showed her wedding and her areola was visible because the top was so low!

The show has definitely changed since it's start. I agree that the dresses are questionable. And what makes every top heavy woman want a strapless dress?

All the dresses on the show look like the same dress to me. Always have. I'm a married woman in my 30s.

Just wondering if anyone watched a recent episode in which "Mariah" brought her dogs to the appt., and insisted on a matching dress for one of them?? It's questionable whether Mariah had any active gray matter between her ears; she was a huge airhead and had a LOUD, annoying voice to boot.

The dress she wound up falling in love with was a BLUE Cinderella atrocity, with a sheer bodice and appliques right on top of each breast. What made it even worse was that it was designed by Randy - someone I always imagined had impeccable taste. Apparently, I was terribly mistaken. That dress looked like a joke - I kept waiting for the staff to jump out and say, "Just joking!! April Fool's!!" or something... I just couldn't believe it. That whole appointment just made my jaw drop.

The other appt. on that episode was fine, but even the dress she chose was ugly. What's happened to this show?? Years ago, they actually had some beautiful dresses. Now, everything looks like a gimmick. I find it hard to believe there are women who actually love the trash they're shown.
