If this is the last STEM class your DC will EVER take, then maybe consider it. If not, then she really needs to learn the fundamentals and also learn to get by without plugging everything into wolfram alpha

It's also not very time consuming, so if that's what she's looking for, that may be a plus. If she wants to take it because she hates math and wants to fill up her regular schedule with AP art classes as a senior, this is probably the class for her.
My kid took it in the last couple of years. There were 10 homework problems per week. It was a strange mix of kids in the class - 8th graders through seniors. My kid (who is not at all math-y) took it as a senior and ended up having to take a one-credit trig class in college after taking a placement test.
