You all are smarter than me. Thank you.

Come on OP. It was only 2 pennies. Let’s not be overly dramatic.

Wouldn't they be insulted by a bunch of pennies?

Just hand your plastic bag over to any kid or homeless person you see. Or l leave the whole bag on a bench.

Yeah, I think this makes more sense. Thank you.

I wish there would be some charity plastic box I could drop them into but I don't see any around. Dropping them into one of many DC fountains seems troublesome to someone who has to maintain the fountain. Homeless people would be insulted.

So my idea is just to drop one every 10 feet or so along the sidewalk near my home until they are gone. The sidewalks are heavily used by neighborhood school students. I guess kids still want pennies. Or just leave my plastic bag of pennies on the ground -- maybe they'd be more inclined to pick that up.

Anyway, that's my plan but if you another idea I'll consider it. Thank you in advance.

You'll find those in a church, should you choose to enter one.

Put them into a sock and use it as a door stop.

This is kind of funny! What an odd problem to have. You use coin star once or you spend an entire afternoon plinking pennies every 10 feet.

I think you need to get over the coin star aversion (who cares what anyone thinks of you) or donate to a school.
