I mean, no, there isn't world class dining, like in Paris or NYC (though I have had numerous rotten, expensive meals in both of those), but there are plenty of tasty, very good restaurants in Annapolis.

I made the post saying that it is not a dining destination and the one two post above about there not really being a stand out place. Not trolling at all. I love in Annap and the food is my biggest gripe.

Where are these very good restaurants you speak of?

Meant live in Annap, not love in Annap

I don't think there is enough to do in Annapolis for a week unless you're planning day trips

I would second this. You are probably going to be limited to a condo though. Murray Hill has more houses and is downtown. I don’t know how many houses are in a rental pool or VRBO type situation. Annapolis isn’t a huge weekly rental type of town outside of big Naval Academy week/events where people get beyond top dollar.

Don’t get their hopes up on the food, not really a dining (or shopping) destination by any means.

St. Michaels may be a better bet, still thin on food, but probably better bet as far as what your guests may be looking for.

Why not do a week in OBX or other beach?

Family (2 adults plus tween kids) from out of the US is visiting us this summer. They plan to stay in DC with us for a week, then would like to rent a house on the water in/near Annapolis for their second week. Even though I have lived here for 10 years, I have only been to Annapolis once so I have no idea what area to recommend they look. They want to relax by the water, have easy access to SUP and kayaking, and to be able to go into Annapolis for dinners and a bit of sightseeing. Any suggestions of what neighborhoods or areas for me to focus them in a VRBO search? Thanks!
