+1 The material wicks sweat away and doesn't darken like cotton when it gets wet.

Yeah, but that's not instantaneous. The sweat stains will be there during, and shortly after a class. If I'm going for a walk after and upright (not with my butt on a mat doing crunches with weights), then sure, it'll evaporate. But when you're sitting on your butt, there's no place for it to go.

I don't know if the people wearing these pants are just not sweaty people. Or if they have some trick that they're not sharing with those of us who are puzzled.

This isn't true for me. When I get home my workout gear is wet to the touch but no sweat stains or rings. The material doesn't darken when it gets wet.

I’ve heard good things about this brand (compared to Lulu). They sometimes have them at TJ Maxx as well.

I'm the PP who posted these leggings. I like them - they're great for the cost and a nice thickness, relatively soft. But they don't compare to my Lulu's. The Lululemon Wunder Under have that magical slimming compression effect... the 99 Degree pair does not. And the Lululemon leggings are much, much softer. The 99 Degree also have a bit of that shiny look that cheaper leggings tend to get. There's nothing wrong with the 99 Degree, especially for the cost, but they are not the same.

Mostly it's the material (these leggings are expensive for a reason). Also, busy patterns can camouflage any sweat that does appear.

I’m so curious about this! I went to a yoga sculpt class (hot yoga with cardio and weights - a no joke sweat fest) and there was a gal there in white leggings. Fascinating! I would love to wear something other than black leggings but I sweat like crazy. But white??! I can’t even imagine.

I have one pair of dark gray leggings that don’t wick properly and they always look like I had some explosive accident. I had to get rid of them.

So what specific brands and types of fabric are your magical wicking pants? It's true that sweaty zones vary on people. You only have to look at me and my groin bursts out sweating. Others do a heavy workout and have no sweat there at all.

The latest issue of Cosmo has a list of tried and tested fun workout pants that do not show the sweat.

I only sweat like that if I’m running outside in the summer. My upper body and head definitely sweat like crazy, but my lower body just doesn’t really - not to that extent.

This is such a mystery to me. How do people wear such pretty, colorful workout bottoms, and actually workout in them? When I workout, I get sweaty in my nether-regions. I want to wear all the pastels, blues, greys, and non-black pants, but by the time I'm done with HIIT or Bodypump, it'll look like I wet my pants. I mean I did... but with sweat, not pee.

How are you ladies doing this?? How are stores making a profit off of such pretty pants that you can't discretely workout in??
