So what? You can keep trying to insist that this is a scary thing, but nobody thinks this is a problem. The only problem I see is you 1) trying to pathologize her being healthy, and 2) complaining about the cost of something that is not only a very worthy expense but also that she covers out of her own funds.
What's the real problem, OP? Did you get fat and you feel insecure that she didn't?
