I was going to suggest gall bladder also based on my husband's symptoms before he had it removed.

OP, I have had indigestion for at least 4 years, after about 50 % of my meals. this started after a really, really bad food borne illness, major rounds of antibiotics, steroids, etc. I think I decimated my gut flora. Gastro thinks its an auto immune thing.
anyway, I would first try following a low fodmap diet, cutting dairy and gluten and high fodmap foods. Cut down the acid (you can actually find low acid coffee try that if you're like me and the idea of facing the world w/no coffee is terrifying). Then make a follow up if it continues for 2 weeks.

Ugh, op here and it still has not gone away after a week. I've tried not to eat spicy food or raw vegetables though I am still having my cup of black coffee in the morning.

Yes, feeling much better the past 2 days though still have had some indigestion but not nearly as bad. Glad you're feeling better too.

I don't know what's going on but I have the exact same thing as OP, mine started Saturday too. What finally helped me was Pepto Bismol, 2 doses and things took a turn for better.

I'm having the same thing now - been going on for 2-3 days now. I've never had this issue before. Maybe there's some kind of weird bug going around?

Well - I had the same sort of thing for a couple of weeks this summer. Combined with lots of burping. Was quite worried at the time, but it went away, and hasn't raised it's head again yet. I am the same age, female. No idea what it was.

I would see a doctor. Could be lots of things, from benign to serious.

I thought with heartburn there would be an actual burning sensation or heat? Other than today, I've never had that feeling, just dullness.

I've had indigestion four days in a row and I can't figure out what it is from. Started Saturday night when I felt some pain in my back along bra line and a dull pain in between breasts in the front plus sense of fullness and need to burb. Was also gassy. Got a bit better after some alka seltzer but did not sleep well and woke up with an off feeling. Had coffee which was probably not a good idea and again with the dull pain in between breasts, bloating, gassiness. Took alka seltzer, drank peppermint tea and by that even I was better. Monday was fine all day but after dinner indigestion started again - same dullness, gassiness, need to burp and was that way all night even after alka seltzer. Same feeling when I woke up so had 2-3 cups of peppermint tea plus alka seltzer. A bit better during the day and and now a bit of burning in center of breasts and bracing myself for another sleepless night. Tonight is the first time that there is actual burning and not dullness. Age 42. Does this just happen with age or is this unusual or something else? I initially thought the culprit was arugula that I had for dinner Saturday night, lunch Sunday and dinner Monday or some other component of the salad. But my bowel movements haven't been different.
