But there is a strong smell when the waffle iron is heating back up between waffles that must be the nonstick surface spewing its toxic fumes. So is it not worth using anymore? I've tried using it below the exhaust hood but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone had good luck with waffle irons that don't have the nonstick coating?
