Any options to recommend?

When is his birthday? I'm trying to figure out if he will be a new 8 or almost 9 by the summer.
He will turn 8 in May - rising 3rd grader next year. He's never been to sleepaway- but has done camp and enjoyed 2 weeks at the grandparents.
Are any of his friends going? Are you part of community that traditionally sends kids to sleepaway camps? Are you willing to consider religious camps; if so what religion...or are you only interested in secular camps? Since you mentioned Seagull, I'm guessing that 5-6 hours away via car is okay with you.
I'm not a fan of 1 week camps. The first week is hard. Everything is new and you have to learn routines and expectations. It's not until the second week that you begin to find out how much fun camp is.
