There are a number of cards which offer a reimbursement for the Global Entry or Precheck fee:

Most of them allow 1 reimbursement every 5 years. You don't have to do anything to trigger the reimbursement other than use the card to pay the fee when you apply. It doesn't have to be for you- if you already have Global Entry or Precheck you can use the card to pay for someone else's application fee, as long as you haven't gotten a reimbursement from that card in the last 5 years.

+1 The wait for a weekend appointment can be months long in this area. Make the appointment assp, or do the appointment elsewhere if you can. For example, at the West Palm airport I could have walked in, but I didn’t have my passport.

Once you have conditional approval, just find any time available at the closest location to you and book it. Then, if you can make it to downtown DC, just do a walk-in at the office at the Reagan Building at Federal Triangle. Never a bad wait there because they have a lot of officers available.

+2 I dropped in before work and was out in 10 minutes, even with only 2 officers working. My DH went on his lunch break and had no wait.

Global entry -- includes TSA Pre. You can go directly to the Reagan Building once you fill out all of the online info.

Global entry. It includes pre check and I think lasts longer.

Global Entry is pre-check plus skipping customs lines when returning to the States.
