We are looking into options right now in Northern Virginia. We've primarily focused on smaller, residential care facilities and have found the costs to be around $4500-$5500. It could be more depending on needs. No buy in. These are residential-type settings providing care for around 6-10 residents.

We are not expecting facilities to have zero violations. To us, however, there is a big difference between "administrative "violations (e.g., not keeping certain records up to date or incorrect information on posted daily/weekly lunch menu) vs violations that involve aspects of care we deem really important (overnight staff ready and prepared, observations that staff not engaging with residents and providing opportunities for activities, residents being propped up in wheelchairs).
