OP here - did you change anything in your FET protocol after ERA? What was your ERA result? Thanks so much.
didn’t change a thing! I was receptive +1 day. I can look up and post my exact protocol tonight if you want? I did every extra med offered (lovenox, prednisone, etc).

Yes, if you could let me know your results and protocol that would be fantastic! Also, by how much did it change the transfer day compared to previous transfers? How different was the new protocol compared to the previous two that failed? Thank you!!

I feel like I will have to push my RE for this since she is resistant, claiming how I was already pregnant and don't need it. I have a gut feeling that I have to have this covered before next FET.

I had two chemicals with PGS normal embryos and did The ERA and it worked. Could have been luck but I feel like why not try it.

Op update -need advice: I spoke with my RE today. I originally wanted ERA because I miscarried a PGS normal embryo at 4-5 weeks. She says I don't need ERA because ERA is for ladies with repeated implantation failure. She says I had gotten pregnant and that was not my problem. However, we have never established why my PSG normal pregnancy failed. 99% of my blood tests for recurrent pregnant loss (which I insisted on having done) came back negative. The only thing that was positive was MTHFR mutation. My RE is not overly concerned about that. Anyhow, I was thinking that ERA would cover my basis at next FET. Should I still insist on it? Thanks.

Same as other PPs: I did a mock FET cycle with all the meds I would normally do for an FET, but on the 6th day of progesterone the ERA biopsy was done. Then I stopped meds, and prepared for the results/to get my period, and to do a real FET the next month. Results came back about 10 days later as "receptive" so I didn't need to repeat the test, and did an FET the next month as planned. It was definitely painful; probably the worst cramping I have ever had in my life, and worse than the HSG. But it only lasted about 10 seconds, and didn't linger after that.

FWIW, my next two FETs didn't work (chemical and then a BFN), but then I had a hysteroscopy, removed a few tiny polyps, and then another FET, and so far that it is sticking!

It feels just like an endometrial scratch which SG is a fan of doing one or two times before a transfer. It hurts but like pp said it’s ocer in 10-15 seconds. I did it twice, got the right day and now have a DD.

So, you don't do FET in the same cycle when you do ERA? I thought that ERA is done to determine the right ratio of estrogen:progesteron in a given cycle for a FET.

They biopsy is taken at the day and time you would normally have the transfer. Since it takes time to get the results back from the biopsy, you don't do the FET in the same cycle. the results will tell you if you are receptive at that time or you need more or less time on progesterone. then they use that info to tweak the FET cycle.

Did you do it to transfer an embryo in the current cycle? If yes, how quickly will they have the results? Thanks so much.

i just had it done - i wont lie it was pretty painful - but it only lasted 10 seconds. i took Tylenol before hand. no anesthesia, no antibiotics (which i wanted but SG said they don't give them out because everything they are using is sterile and they wash your cervix....)

How painful is ERA test and how is it performed?
Is anesthesia necessary? Painkillers/antibiotics before the procedure?
Have you found the test to be helpful in your case?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
