My Growing Nest is a new Montessori school in Potomac Village. It was founded by longtime Franklin staff, who are excellent. The facility looks lovely. That may be another option.

Why has that been the case?

I don't really know why it's been the case that lots of people pulled their kids from Franklin, while parents didn't seem to do that en masse at Butler. The demographic is slightly different, so maybe that's one reason. Maybe Franklin parents thought they and the staff were treated poorly during the shutdown last spring.

There was a whole thread on DCUM about angry Franklin parents

Hi! I'm not sure if I'm too late to give some answers. We attend Butler Montessori in Germantown/Darnestown. I visited every preschool within North Potomac and even started my son at a different one before settling on Butler. Very happy with our choice. I highly recommend you tour and visit the campus. It's pretty cool and my children are very happy. Hope this helps!

Seneca academy in darnestown is great and not far from North Potomac. You can make it a full day through after school activities/aftercare.

How familiar are you with Montessori? Since you're only considering Montessori schools, I assume you're familiar and comfortable with the curriculum?

I only ask because some people find it too structured and inflexible. If it's right for your family, go for it!

We are looking for a preschool that offers full days for a three year old. I would appreciate hearing about any schools that have teachers that are warm towards the kids. Thanks!
