This is what I did. They have a form your husband can sign with a notary. You can find a notary on the weekend or at some banks.


+1. We did this. Much easier than 2 parents having to show up.

Brentwood post office Saturday morning. Get there a few minutes before they open.

We've gone to the main post office on Brentwood Rd. You'll have to wait because they don't make appointments, but it hasn't taken that long the two times we've done it.

Also try Merrifield, they used to have Sunday walk in hours not sure if they still do

Be forewarned get there far in advance of opening time to get in line

Need to renew child's passport and it looks like all the "acceptance facilities" in my area (20010 zip) are all post offices and only process passports by appointment from 10 am-3 pm Monday-Friday. Very inconvenient as DH works in the suburbs, so he would miss half a day of work.

Any way around this that I'm missing?
