Yes, please tell me more. About to be in same situation not by my choice and prospect of dating again is the one thing that keeps me going.

My nephew uses Bumble for hookups and most of the messages he receives from women are raunchy.

Screen better; message more but not too much more—texting chemistry doesn’t translate into real life chemistry.
And mostly only agree to something you’re comfortable with time wise. For example, there is no way I’m leaving my immediate neighborhood/areas for a first date because I’m busy and I would be resentful for time spent going somewhere for a failed first date

My fried married a guy she met on Tinder. I think it is primarily for hookups but I think there are also a decent number of ppl just looking for connection.

OP, I wonder if you need to go on an additional date with ppl you meet on there since it may be hard to assess chemistry on your first dates because you are so uncomfortable meeting up with people from the internet.

Feeling really down. So many of my friends have happy, healthy relationships off of Tinder, Bumble, etc. I've tried using these apps and can't make it work. First off, I get cold feet whenever someone actually asks me to meet up. I went on one date off of there, it was bad, and I get nervous and anxious about going on another date. Second, it's SO HARD to feel any chemistry/actually WANT TO meet up with someone after a brief conversation of 'what do you do for a living? what's your favorite color?' etc. It feels like a waste of time to go on date after date like this.

How do other people make this work?
