As a friend, all you can say is "Take your time". Some girls think any boyfriend is better than no boyfriend. If this latest guy has no job, he is probably using her for his wallet.

I might say something like, “So Billybob stole from you last March and Jimmyjack turned out to be a liar when you dated him in August. Tell me how Timmytom is different and more importantly how you’re making better choices. I’m asking because I really care about you.”

Let her make her own mistakes.
She's blinded by love : she won't hear what you have to say sadly.

He will just take full advantage of her vulnerability and use her too.

I swear, some evil men seem to smell vulnerability from a mile afar.
They then prey on them like the vultures that they are.

Such vile + nasty creatures.

She has terrible taste, which is hardwired by adulthood and basically impossible to fix. Mind your business and keep your distance from the man, unless you're one of those drama queens who likes to jump into others' messy situations.

A friend is over the moon about the new man in her life. He sounds exactly like all but one of her last boyfriends (that one she broke up with b/c he was too busy working). No job (got injured two weeks after they started dating at a job he had been on for only a month), sad/bad luck story, no money, no family or friends in the area (says he lost everything in Irma in FL, moved here to start over), spends every waking moment with her, makes her feel great.

She wants me to be excited about him. She shows me pictures, tells me stories ... I've heard this twice in the last year. One ended with him stealing from her, and the other ended with him being exposed as a liar.

I guess there's always a chance this guy is for real, right?
