Depending on where you are in Bethesda, I assume Lifetime isn't that convenient for you. But it is a great gym. I've been a member for 4 years and have no complaints. They just renovated so there's even more available in terms of heavy weights, machines, etc.

If you're a class person they have a wide variety, I'm a big fan of the yoga classes. I like LA Fitness but that's more North Bethesda. What I like about it is the ample, free, underground parking! and the gym is never really that crowded.
