All these things sound nice, but when my husband calls me gorgeous or nuzzles me I just get icked out by that. What is that?

Just about every morning, when I'm sitting at the kitchen counter reading the paper, he walks in and says "good morning gorgeous" and comes up to me nuzzles my neck and lightly rubs my butt. It's a nice way to begin the day.

He suggests I need a bath and then goes and runs the water, lights the candles, adds the bubbles, and warms a towel for me.

It sounds cliche, but he brings home flowers, and never red roses (which really ARE cliche, which is why I dislike them, which he knows).

Something that melts me every time: sometimes when I'm walking away from him, if I look back, he notices and smiles at me.

Maybe what's so romantic about it is that he doesn't do it all the time so I particularly notice it when he DOES do it. If that makes sense. I'd still notice if he did it all the time but...meh. That's who he is.

Makes me a cup of coffee to go in the morning on random mornings he's still home when I leave
Is affectionate with hugs, backrubs, etc (maybe half the time)
Cleans up after I cook
Does bathtime when I'm tired
Takes DC out to run Saturday mornings to give me some quiet time alone (he does this one pretty much every weekend)

why is it your dirty work if you both are doing the entertaining, but you are doing the cooking?

He takes out the trash - a job I detest

He takes my car for its tune up - another job I detest

It’s not the tasks - he picks up things he knows that I hate to do.

If I’m sick- his response is always along the lines of “I’ve got this covered (kid, house, dinner etc), you go rest.”

love pats, gropes, strokes

Mine has been warming up my car for me. I get the kids in the car with less than 2 min to spare so the foresight of him running downstairs and starting it 15 min prior is really appreciated! I need an automatic start!

He makes coffee while I am in the shower, and leaves a cup for me right outside the bathroom on my nightstand for me to have as soon as I finish showering.

stopping for those little things dinner can't do without on the way home from work so I don't have to.

My husband texted me to say he filled out and printed the preschool re-enrollment forms. I had not mentioned it to him that they were due. He even wrote the checks and put them in my purse so I had them at drop off.

As mine left for work this morning (me home with the kids again), he says “why don’t I bring home [our favorite takeout] tonight?”

God I love this man.
