Not pp, but it sounds like you don't know anything about preparing yourself for going out in the cold. You just avoid it. Due to anxiety, dislike, or whatever. Which is fine - but other people are able to protect themselves and their kids in the cold. They're not riddled with fear about going outside in the cold.

While I agree there's no need to jog outside with our kid in this weather, some of us work and need to bring our kids to daycare. Sorry.

I recently spent about 3 weeks in Finland, Denmark, and Sweden, and saw lots of kids outside in subzero temps. They were wearing snowsuits and there were a lot of bunting bags. Apparently the Danes have a saying that goes "there's no bad weather, just bad clothing."

My husband still bikes to drop off DD at preschool. She's dressed in ski clothes at this point, including pants, helmet and goggles. When he takes everything off at school, her hands and feet are still warm. No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes.

Cover their mouths too! Ice cold air not good for the lungs.

And then they're projecting their anxiety on other people.

There's a difference between it being cold, feeling a little cold, and downright negligence. With the proper clothing, it's fine to go outside. No one's suggesting going outside naked for 6 hours.

Put long johns under their pants, wool sock and cover their ears. There’s an expression in Russia that there isn’t cold weather, just not dressing properly for it.

I disagree. Children can absolutely be outside if they are dressed properly. Are you suggesting that babies and toddlers in northern states and cold parts of the world shouldn't leave the house for months out of the year?

There is plenty of baby clothing made for this weather. My child's bunting bag is sufficient for temps as low as negative four degrees.

Your baby is one of the lucky ones with a bunting bag.

Thanks for the input, but I do plan on leaving the house with my toddler at some point in the next three days...

Case in point, when I was a kid, the cold felt so much intense than it does now. The difference? More fat on the bones.

Inspect for frostbite, even if they try to tell you they aren't cold. Maybe they lost sensation.

And of course babies and toddlers need to be well-bundled. They can't tell us it's cold.
