Agree with these. Sal's is excellent and we really liked Astronomical Pancake House, though the Southern Pancake and Waffle House was even better. Shorty's Diner is great for breakfast as well.

Our hands-down fave for lunch and dinner is Food For Thought.

We really enjoyed Food for Thought. Ate there more than once on our last trip.

Also liked Sal's by Victor, Cheese Shop, and The Trellis.

Williamsburg has a lot of waffle restaurants and pancake houses. There’s isn’t a specific Waffle House . They are being referred to collectively as cheesy.

OP here, I definitely don't expect fantastic meals. Atmosphere is probably most important and not too pricey. I have had the bread ends but that was in 2004 so I bet a lot has changed since then!

Have any favorite places to eat in Williamsburg?? We are planning on eating in a tavern, and maybe Rick's Cheesesteaks.. that's about it so far.
