"Companies with 25 or more employees now need to get certification to prove that they offer equal pay for work of equal value."
This sounds like a nightmare of unnecessary government regulation. It also does not mean that it's going to close the gender pay gap, because as long as women are more likely to choose lower-paying or more family-friendly professions and are more likely to take more time off with children, they will not be performing equal work.
