I took my daughter when she was 10 and it was perfect. Old enough for everything, could walk all day long, easy to get along with, enough energy for everything.

DH wanted to go the minute the child was born! I said no, too much money for something he won't remember, and wouldn't get to enjoy. Over the next few years, DH had some trips to Disney (they have an institute, who knew?). I told him to ask them when the appropriate time was, and their response was Kindergarten and 2nd grade (our kids aelre 2 years apart). We went, they loved it, they still remember it, now both in high school. We went to again i
about 2 years ago to do Harry Potter World/Universal +, one day in the Magic Kingdom, which we all agreed was not as good as Harry Potter. Too dated, don't manage the lines as well, Etc.

We went when kids were 8 and 10. It was great but they were passed having any interest in princesss or believing in any of the characters. That was actually nice because we had more time to do rides and other things. And they never complained about walking.

We go every 1-2 years. We just got back from a trip with our 6 and 9 yo and it was the best trip yet by far, in terms of how much fun we all had, the things we could do, the pace, etc.

5 is fine but you just will be doing stuff for the younger kids. Not a problem at all. But, you will want to plan for that so you do not over spend on things that are targeted for bigger kids.

Ours were 7 and 9 and we all thought it was perfect! (And we're not Disney people). Four years later they still remember and talk about it. We promised them we would go back in 7 years, so we still have a while. I think it will be a very different experience then.

We took our 7 year olds last year and it was perfect -- they could ride everything and it was all very cool.

That said, I'm not sure there is a wrong age for Disney, except when they are toddlers and it's just a hot hassle.

Why bother going if it's a chore?

If you want them to remember it wait until they are teens.
I personally think young enough to sit in a stroller and poss nap in stroller is a good age. Or old enough to do lots of walking without complaining.
We took DD at 3.4 because IL's paid for everyone. i would not have spend the money myself. She had a great time.

Under 5? No way. If you do, you'll have to go back, and nobody wants to do that twice.

Does it matter if they'll remember it? You'll remember it, they'll have a blast, and you'll have the pictures to look at later. You may love it so much that you'll want to go back

I have a two kids under 5. Will they remember anything?
