That’s odd. Progesterone was <$10 for me through kaiser.

In my experience the prices we got through Kaiser (treatment at Shady Grove Fertility - they refer you there)) were low compared with the prices we see other people getting. Sometimes it was because even though technically for fertility meds we are supposed to pay 50%, sometimes we were just charged a copay at the Kaiser pharmacy, especially for hormonal supports like Prometrium and Estrace that are often used in early pregnancy and for other things. But sometimes it was just a lower price.

The cost of each IUI depended on the number of monitoring appointments and the specific meds I was prescribed, with each monitoring appointment costing about $120 (that's our 50% cost) and each IUI including sperm washing cost us about $100. Our 50% cost including meds and two monitoring appointments for one IUI cycle with Femara, Gonal-F and Ovidrel was about $750. Of that about half the cost was just the meds.

CCRM has a set price of $2200 for any IUI.

Washington Fertility has their prices on their website and it ranges from $975 for monitored natural to $2495 for injectables. https://www.washingtonfertility.com/fertility-treatment-costs/treatments-fertility-medication-prices

Columbia Fertility is $1080 for natural monitored IUI ($540 for unmonitored natural), $1620 for oral med IUI (clomid or letrozole), $2160 for mixed oral and injectables , and $2700 for injectables.

I've been shopping around myself.

If you're shopping around make sure to find out if the price includes blood work.

My injectables for IUI ran about 800$ for each cycle (insurance effectively didn't cover my meds).

The price I was given last October was $1400 for an IUI. This doesn’t include medication (medication prices were not listed).

I would guess most of your cost for meds was from the injectables. Oral meds (Clomid and Letrozole/Femara) are very cheap, even OOP. I don't remember exactly, but I want to say those meds were around $30.

Yes, the oral meds were totally reasonable. The injectables on the other hand...whew.

Anyone have the current IUI costs for GWU and Shady Grove? At Dominion, I was quoted $2100 for natural IUI, $2400 for oral medicated IUI, and $3000 for injectable medicated IUI. We're most interested in oral medicated IUI but the cost just seems too high! Trying to see if there's a more cost effective option in the DC area.
