I'm on the fence about it. Expecting a boy...we're UMC white people if it matters.

We had girls but would not have circumcised a boy—my husband too is extremely opposed to the practice.

Genital mutilations. It is amazing people only care when it’s done to females.

They don't.

They say it's up to parents.

The aap is not an unbiased organization that is 100% devoted to science.

Hmm... this is interesting.

They were nearly a decade behind the car seat folks regarding front facing, for example.

My brothers were not circumcised in the 80s (international adoption from a country where it is not done), and my son is not circumcised. He's had zero issues.

The idea that it's medically beneficial is totally outdated.

Plenty of people on the coasts do not circumcise.

Do people still automatically circumcise their sons? My mom had my little brother in the late 70s and I remember her saying that everyone circumcised then (not sure how accurate this is). However, we are now expecting a boy and my husband, who is not circumcised, is strongly opposed to it and says the practice is outdated. Not sure if I am phrasing this question correctly but are circumcisions generally recommended nowadays?
