Just interested, because I think the diagnosis likely fits my DS but nobody has every suggested it. We've never done a full dev ped eval because he was doing well with the services he got under the developmental delay code. But as he gets closer to 6, I know we will need to do more testing.

We got it early on (called DCD) from a physical medicine doctor at Children’s. A developmental pediatrician could also probably diagnose it. Did PT and OT to improve fine and gross motor skills.
My DC also have apraxia or speech — which was often called verbal dyspraxia 14 years when DC was diagnosed.

Anonymous wrote:Thanks. Do you all think age 6 is a good age for a neuropsych? I can definitely see anxiety as part of what is going on as well. No one has ever thought Autism/Aspergers. He is currently seen by speech therapists, occupational therapists and a dev ped. The home situation has become very hard and I dont have any resource for home life yet other than ot sensory diet activities.
