My 5 yo is not into anything. He had peanut butter and jelly last night and fruit this morning. Are you seriously so sensitive about PANCAKES? And yes, the circumstances under which she ate them did not help.

Yes! Clearly you should have handled it differently - like not expecting a four-year-old who has been looking forward to opening her presents for the last two months to stop to eat.

Yes, you overreacted! Of course she is excited and wants to open her presents!! Why did she have to stop for breakfast?!
