A friend from church's then-14 YO son lit his grandma's sweater on fire with his candle ten years ago, so could be worse.

She still jokes about it at age 88. She talks about it so much you might think it was her favorite part of the service ?

I would view this as a lesson learned for him. If you want to have your laundry specially handled, you do it yourself.

Nope. They helped me finish wrapping gifts today, the oldest ran out and picked up lunch for everybody. Now dh and I are watching The Grinch with our teens.

I accidentally put my teen DS's Versace sweater in the dryer and it no longer fits him. He is pissed at me and now I owe him a new sweater. (his GF had bought it for him) I don't blame him for being mad, but it was in the general laundry hamper and I did not read the care label. Sigh, I can't seem to win.

The elementary kid is SOOOOO excited though so that makes up for it.

Nope. Mine (one college, two high school) are helping me get dinner ready while watching National Lampoon and we’ll all head to Mass later this evening. Visiting grandparents tomorrow (they don’t LOVE that - no cousins - but we deal). They are being wonderful this holiday.
