OP here. Tulane is one of the other schools DD applied to EA and was accepted with generous merit aid. We laugh because she is very studious and hard working and yet she will tell you that Tulane and UGA are #1 and #2 on Niche for top party schools. New Orleans gives me pause but so does the idea of her going to a school like Columbia with a high stress level. She's got great stats (4.0 Unweighted GPA, 1550) but I want her to have some fun - just not too much.
That's why we wondered if the honors program at UGA might fit a bit of a hybrid model - the feel of a smaller school within a larger institution.
